General

PracticeWings is a complete practice management platform built specifically for accounting and tax firms. It covers tasks, time tracking, billing, client management, documents, a client portal, CRM, and integrations — all in one system. It was built by a CPA who runs a tax firm.
PracticeWings was built by a CPA who runs a tax firm and got frustrated with existing practice management tools that didn't understand real firm workflows. Every feature comes from firsthand experience with actual client work.
PracticeWings is in beta. The platform is fully built (60+ API modules, 122 data models, 90+ pages) and is being refined with input from real practitioners. The founder's own firm will begin using it in production in Summer 2026, with external beta firms onboarding in Fall 2026.
PracticeWings is designed for tax, accounting, and advisory firms of all sizes, from solo practitioners to firms with 50+ staff. Multi-office support is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. We're especially well-suited for firms with 3-50 staff who need sophisticated task management and client portal features.

Features

Most PM tools use flat task lists. PracticeWings uses a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) engine that models real dependencies and conditional logic. Review can't start until prep is done. Decision nodes can branch workflows based on conditions. Task queues auto-route work based on capacity, skills, and office. Custom statuses, work templates, recurring schedules, and saved views round out the system.
Yes. Multi-office support is a core feature, not an add-on. Each office has scoped visibility, staff can be assigned to multiple offices, and reporting can be filtered by office. The founder's own firm operates across multiple locations, so this was built from real need.
The portal includes branded per-firm experience, document exchange with e-signatures, secure messaging with configurable routing (4 modes), a client task tracker, online billing and payments via Stripe, appointment booking, and questionnaire/request responses. Clients see your brand, not ours.
Full REST API (60+ modules), email through SendGrid and Microsoft 365 with folder sync, SMS via Twilio, Stripe Connect for payments, Microsoft calendar sync, video integration, and webhook support. The API is available on every plan at no extra cost.

Pricing

Starter is $39/user/month and Professional is $59/user/month. Enterprise pricing is custom. Beta participants get 6 months free on any plan. All features are included in every plan — no per-module fees or feature unlocks.
No. Core features are included in every plan: tasks, billing, portal, CRM, documents, and API access. Multi-office support is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. The differences between plans are user minimums, storage allocation, support level, and advanced features like multi-office.
The beta program is even better than a trial — 6 months completely free with direct founder support. No credit card required. After the beta period, you transition to the plan of your choice at standard pricing.

Security

All infrastructure is US-based on AWS (us-west-2 region). Database on Amazon RDS with SSL encryption. Documents on S3 with encryption at rest. Cloudflare provides WAF, DDoS protection, and CDN.
We're in SOC 2 preparation. We're transparent about this — we're not yet certified, but we're building security into the platform from the ground up. JWT + MFA authentication, role-based access control, organization-level data isolation, and comprehensive audit trails are already in place.
Yes. Automated daily database backups with point-in-time recovery through Amazon RDS. Document storage on S3 with built-in redundancy.
